Aare Gorge is a seasonal attraction with two entrances. In 2026, the West Entrance opens on 3 April and the East Entrance opens on 9 May. Both entrances remain open until 1 November. A complete walk from one entrance to the other is possible only when both entrances are open and the full route is operating. 2026 season: • West Entrance (Meiringen): 3 April – 1 November 2026 • East Entrance (Innertkirchen): 9 May – 1 November 2026 • 3 April – 8 May 2026: entry and return via the West Entrance only • Opening hours 2026 (Swiss time): 3 April–12 June 08:30–17:30 · 13 June–20 September 08:30–18:30 · 21 September–1 November 08:30–17:30 • Evening visits 2026: Fridays and Saturdays, 3 July–29 August, 18:30–22:00, West Entrance only, as far as the large gravel banks and back — not a through-walk • Closed for winter after 1 November 2026 When the gorge is closed, this package is unavailable. On request we can offer an alternative private transfer or sightseeing itinerary — this explicitly excludes the closed gorge. Gorge entrance tickets are not included in the package price. We confirm operating status before confirming your booking.
