Season & Opening Times
2026 cogwheel railway season: 11 May–29 November 2026. The cableways have separate maintenance dates — published 2026 closures: 30–31 March 2026 and 19 October–27 November 2026. During the autumn cableway closure, the return journey is via the cogwheel railway to Alpnachstad, subject to its operation. Outside the 2026 season the railway visit is unavailable. Dates for later years are not yet confirmed. Guests check operating status and book tickets directly with the attraction operator. A boat or full Golden Round Trip is not automatically included. Guests should arrive 30–45 minutes before their ascent time. Railway tickets not included. Base price = private transfer from pickup A to final destination B only. Stops, waiting, return and extra pickups are added with Customize at extra cost. Maximum total journey: 12 hours.
Fixed price for pickup in Zurich or Zurich Airport. Other pickup points and the optional return trip (−50% same day) are calculated automatically.
A mountain railway ascent from Alpnachstad, summit viewpoints and lunch on Pilatus, followed by a walk through Lucerne. A cross-mountain descent to Kriens is an optional routing only when both the railway and cableways operate.
